Bosch Expands 12V Max Line With Company’s First Handheld Vacuum
Mt. Prospect, Ill., November 3, 2014 – Saw shavings, dirt and dust don’t stand a chance now that the Bosch VAC120, the brand’s first 12V Max handheld vacuum is officially on the market. Featuring an exclusive Micro Filter System, based on advanced automotive technology, to trap 98 percent of dust particles as small as 1/2 micron in diameter, the new Bosch VAC120 12V Max vacuum is designed to make jobsite cleanup faster and more efficient.
“We’re excited to expand our 12V Max line up with our first-ever handheld vacuum,” said Craig Wilson, Bosch product manager. “Its compact, lightweight design allows for high portability and comfortable use, which ensures that nothing gets left behind on the job besides a good impression.”
Weighing just 1.55 pounds and measuring 11 inches long, the VAC120’s crevice nozzle attachment makes clean-up in tight or confined spaces, such as around electrical outlets or drains, a breeze. The flat filter design allows for a larger 11.8 ounce canister volume, which means less frequent clean-outs and more time working.
According to Wilson, the Bosch VAC120 serves a variety of functions, including:
– Post construction clean- up around electrical and drywall cutouts
– Installation or punch-list work clean up, such as around doors, windows, cabinets, flooring and air ducts
– Post service-call clean up, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or appliance and entertainment system maintenance (for dust only, not water)
Compatible with the Bosch L-Boxx tool storage system, the VAC120 will be available as a bare tool (without battery or charger) in October 2014 at authorized dealers in North America and retails for a suggested retail price of $69 USD ($89 CA). A 12V Max battery and charger -only starter kit SKC120-102, is also available. Learn more about the Bosch VAC120 12V Vacuum or to locate a dealer, by visiting www.boschtools.com or call 877-BOSCH-99.
