Another confirmed release from Milwaukee Tools —- two new pneumatic nailers!
This time will be a roofing & framing nailer, and judging from the size/features/construction, they are going after the big names like Hitachi, Senco, Dewalt, RIDGID, Porter Cable, Bostitch, and Makita.
Definitely jumping into the heavy hitters — and not starting out with smaller versions such as brads, finish, or even staplers. We assume those (pneumatic versions) will follow shortly behind these, and coupled with the recent cordless nailer announcement — it seems like Milwaukee is wanting to hit the nailer market hard. Assuming they choose to cover the whole segment at once, expect to see a micro pinner, flooring stapler, and a range of woodworking/finish nailers soon also.
Here are the specs on each model :
1-3/4″ Coil Roofing Nailer # 7220-20
- 3/4″ – 1-3/4″ nail range
- 120 magazine capacity
- Single-shot & Bump-fire modes

- Adjustable exhaust
- Self-cleaning air filter
3-1/2″ Round Head Framing Nailer # 7200-20

- 0.113″ minimum nail size
- 0.148″ maximum nail size
- 70-120 psi operating pressure
- Single-shot & Bump-fire modes

Overall these do look similar to other units on the market — with these having the signature Milwaukee branding. We are looking forward to checking them out in person to see what they are capable of and how they perform!
One last thing worth noting would be a power source for these……particularly an air compressor. None are currently out by Milwaukee —- will that be another big push that we can expect to see at this year’s media event? Hopefully so!
